Astrid is a globally recognised creative director with over two decades of design leadership experience. Through her London-based practice, Studio Astrid Stavro, she leads a multidisciplinary team creating work that blends emotional resonance with meticulous craft for brands and institutions across the commercial and cultural spectrum.

Formerly a partner at Pentagram and co-founder of the award-winning studio Atlas, Astrid’s work has received more than 175 international honours, including top awards from D&AD, the Art Directors Club, the Type Directors Club, and the Design Week Awards. She is widely regarded as a thoughtful and influential voice in the design industry, serving on juries for major competitions and speaking at conferences and universities around the world.

Her clients include Camper, Tate, Vitra, McKinsey, Wallpaper, Acciona, Phaidon, Thames & Hudson, the National Portrait Gallery, and the Zayed National Museum, among many others. Astrid is a Visiting Lecturer at the Royal College of Art and President of the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD). She serves on the advisory boards of the Politecnico di Milano and Creative Review, and is a former Trustee of the St Bride Foundation. She has been a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) since 2010.
