Typeface Designer
Ale Paul is a graphic and typeface designer based in Buenos Aires, and co-founder of Sudtipos, Argentina's first typographic collective and now one of the region's leading type foundries. His career began as an art director at some of Argentina's most prestigious studios before he shifted his focus to letterforms, creating typefaces and lettering for agencies, magazines and brands around the world.
His work has earned multiple certificates of excellence from the Type Directors Club NY, honors from Communication Arts, and recognition at the Tipos Latinos biennial. He teaches a postgraduate typography program at the University of Buenos Aires and has spoken at conferences including AGI Open Seoul, TypeCon, ATypI and TypoBerlin. His work is held in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and MALBA in Buenos Aires.
As the first Argentine member of Alliance Graphique Internationale, Ale continues to shape the global conversation around typography, bridging Latin American design culture with the international type scene.
