Isabel Seiffert

OFFSHORE
Born in the last years of the GDR, Isabel Seiffert (*1986) grew up amid layered and shifting realities, shaped by a multitude of references and visual heritages, and an enduring sense of in-betweenness that informs her visual language, practice, and pedagogy. With the launch of Migrant Journal in 2016, Isabel Seiffert and Christoph Miler established the collaborative design practice, OFFSHORE. Their work revolves around editorial design, typography, visual identities, image-making, and research-oriented visual inquiries. Isabel is based in Zurich and is a professor of Communication Design and Visual Literacy at the University of the Arts Karlsruhe in Germany.
